The change of religion. The attitude between sex and marriage was stereotyped in the 60s being the decade of free love. The story 'lawyers will urge divorce by consent' shows this change in attitude towards sex and marriage allowing divorce. Britain was still in war paranoia still being a thing. You can see this from the sub heading 'North Sea Spy Game'. The pictures connotes it with planes, satellites, radar stations. Cold war.  Showing that '68 dead in Italian flood' problems that they still have. (linking to now a day because of climate change) Women in lingerie objectification of women's body as you don't see men in boxes on newspapers this shows that it is a decade where feminism had not achieved equal rights as you don't see men doing the same kind of thing. The Labour Party at the time made it easier to have a strike. Strike was for women's rights for equal pay. Lead to an equal pay. This cover shows when the women's rights were at the for front. At a time when women were fighting to be heard. The article shows a time of feminism and reflects it was a decade of people who stood up for themselves. North Vietnam was communist so America announced that they would bomb it. This war went on for 27 years. It was the first war that had less bias coverage which lead into massive protest in America and The UK that the war should be over. It was the first was England wasn't apart of. The protests reached a level where a Monk set himself on fire and burned alive to prove the point. Britain won second Gold medal at the Mexico Olympics. The 1968 Mexico Olympics was best known for Neil Leifers famous picture of the 'Black Power Salute'. The second Gold medal was won by a veterinary surgeon.   ...
