Trailers: - The strongest asset, and probably the single most cost-effective marketing technique, available to a film distributor is a good trailer. It forms the foundation of many additional marketing tools.
- Specialist agencies or production companies are briefed by local distributors to create a trailer from the available material, which may be everything from the entire film to a few approved clips. Naturally , in aiming to sell the film, they want to include a representative glimpse of the most dramatic sequences but, early in the production, the editing and special effects will not be finished. Trailer making is a film making art in its own right.
