Lights! Camera! Action!

Learning Objective:
- to develop an effective film marketing strategy 

Movie Marketing;
  • Release date - January 2021 gives time. 
Case Study:
  • Genre - action, spy.
  • People who like action, adventure movies so therefore uses guns and mystery.
  • Dark colour, reflections the confusion of the film. Like a different universe.
Using Trailers:
  • Trailers are shown across different platforms - cinemas, TV, online.
  • Distributors have to decide when to release the trailer/s; what else the audience would watch; what films to link it to; where and when it would get the most exposure.
  1. Hobbs and Shaw, the Joker, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Birds of Prey.
  2. In India it was the Joker because it is a different audience so different movies will appeal to them.
  3. Originally for July 17, 2020 in IMAX but delayed until July 31.
  • My Poster would be displayed outside cinemas, maybe side of buses.
  • Trailer would be on YouTube and before other movies in the Cinema.
