Neil Leifer Homework
Neil Leifer is an American sports photographer best known and famous for his picture of Muhammad Ali vs Liston back in 1965. His successful career has spanned over 50 years since becoming a professional while still in his teens. Throughout his 50 year career span Leifer has travelled all over the world on sports assignments. For example he has photographed in 16 Olympic Games, 4 Fifa World Cups, 15 Kentucky Derbies, countless World Series games, the first 12 super Bowls and every important heavyweight title fight since Ingemar Johansson beat Floyd Patterson in 1959, all to take iconic pictures in the action photos we see today. As well as this he has photographed many different photos of his favourite subject, Muhammad Ali , on almost 60 different occasions covering his biggest fights. Having the most famous sports photo of all time to his name he has also regularly appeared in every major national magazine, including the Saturday Evening Post, Look, LIFE, Newsweek, Time and, most often, Sports Illustrated beginning in 1960. 30 years later his photographs have appeared on over 200 Sports Illustrated, Time and People covers.
