Explain one way in which music videos use media language to differ from each other. Refer to one example of contrasting media language in two music videos you have studied to support your answer.
Music videos use media language such as the use of colour to create different effects to fit the meaning of the song and the musicians' image. Teenage Dirtbag and Sk8er Boi use very different post-production techniques. Teenage Dirtbag has a very colourful theme to create a more of a brighter and happy effect. This effect helps to reinforce the happier and funner narrative that is being explored. On the other hand Sk8er Boi has a de-saturated darker look, where the colours are darker theme to create a monochrome effect. This serious narrative relates to a rebellious audience.

Using Trailers: Trailers are shown across different platforms - cinemas, TV, online. Distributors have to decide when to release the trailer/s; what else the audience would watch; what films to link it to; where and when it would get the most exposure. Hobbs and Shaw, the Joker, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Birds of Prey. In India it was the Joker because it is a different audience so different movies will appeal to them.
