Film Unit - Lesson 5
Lights! Camera! Action!
Learning Objective:
- to explore the use of setting and color in films.
I got 8/10 on the quiz so 80%.
Setting
Setting:
- to show how hard it would be to run and to get help.
- as there is a lot more to destroy and would have a big impact.
- because the seasides are calm small so the same love interests are more likely to see each other.
- as it would show the adventure in the film through the travel.
- to show the scientists are very good at science by having a larget laboratory.
Colour Connotations:
- Blue and red are bright stands out colours so the superhero would be more noticeable.
- because they are dark and hidden.
- to have the whole film in a positive mood.
Setting and Colour of Chosen Film (Five Feet Apart)
- the story takes place in a hospital
- it has to be for the reasons of the plot of the film
- the setting changes when the problem occurs when the main characters run away
- they behave differently and go against their rules
- based upon the setting surrounding them
- no, it couldn't as it wouldn't make sense
- you can only tell if its day or night
- there isn't really but after watching the film I think the film is based now
- to help describe the mood of the characters.
- there is where the female lead uses brighter colors as she is trying to stay more positive in hospital whereas the make lead is darker as he doesn't want to be positive
- not very as its more about the characters than the colors they represent.
- it would be the same as the characters and the plot are more important than the colors
Get Creative!
The film would be set in a modern lab. The colours would be very white and bright with greys and creams.
Great job on the location questions Freya.
ReplyDeleteEBI: Could you explain your answer to the last question/challenge in more detail? Why would it be a modern lab? Why would you use those colours? Why not cool blues, or warm reds?
